Requirements of KDL

  • Realization of a complete warehouse management and control system

Phase 1:

  • Planning of the move of all GRUNDIG products from a warehouse in Bremen to the new ITC warehouse in Willich near Duesseldorf

Phase 2:

  • Realization of a complete warehouse management and control system
  • Incoming goods from gate to single material blocks, mixed blocks, shelf system (narrow aisle warehouse) and rack system for partial pallets and small parts
  • Retrieval of goods from complete pallets from block and shelf
  • Replenishment of complete pallets from block and shelf to the dynamically managed package picking area, replenishment of original packages from the package picking area to the area of the partial pallet picking
  • Installation of a stacker control system incl. track optimization and control of priorities as well as a priority-controlled system for “paperless” picking with mobile radio data transmission terminals
  • 100% loading control for complete pallets and picking pallets via scan processes
  • DP-controlled packing room for packing of small parts and partial pallets
  • Recording of device serial numbers during the picking process, where required
  • Integration of the overall system into the existing ITC / GRUNDIG DP world (ALLGEIER inventory management at ITC and SAP respectively at GRUNDIG)

Information about the system environment

  • Move of the warehouse from BREMEN to WILLICH
  • New narrow-aisle warehouse with narrow-aisle stackers
  • Picking of dynamically arranged picking places triggered via the customer order structure
  • Stocktaking via radio data transmission
  • Use of 10 radio terminals from GAI; Friedrichshafen, firmly mounted on stackers and 10 PANASONIC handheld computers, type H300HT
